What sets the price on an Allen local move: how much is going, the access at each end (stairs, elevators, the distance from the door to the truck), the crew size, and anything added before loading. Get a free estimate and ask how time is counted before you sign.

Local move questions in Allen

Texas doesn’t leave the total to the clock. Before anything is loaded, the mover has to hand you a written proposal that states the maximum price and says whether it is binding or not-to-exceed (43 TAC §218.56). Ask how time is counted on your Allen move before you sign it. If you pay the maximum price on the contract, the mover must release your goods (§218.57(b)).

Two documents. First, a written proposal that shows the maximum price, says whether it is binding or not-to-exceed, and states when and how payment is due and the mover’s liability for your goods, if any (43 TAC §218.56). Second, the TxDMV brochure “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move in Texas” (§218.55). Read both before the crew starts loading in Allen.

Same-day and last-minute moves are one of our services. One customer wrote that they needed movers “the very same day, and they came through” (Dominic N., Google review, 4 days ago as of Oct 15, 2026). Whether a crew is free today depends on the schedule, so call (214) 407-2684 and ask. If the truck will load on an Allen street, it has to be off the street by 30 minutes after sunset.

We do. Furniture assembly and disassembly is on our service list, so beds and tables can come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one. One customer wrote that the crew “assembled out of the box several items of furniture” (Kristen H., Google review, 3 weeks ago as of Oct 15, 2026). Tell us which pieces when you call.

No. Allen Code §9-227 lets a commercial truck, or one with more than two axles, stand on a public street only while it is being loaded or unloaded, and never from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise. There is no loading exception at night. Commercial vehicles also can’t sit on a residential lot except while loading, so we plan Allen street loading for daylight.
