Piano movers and gun safe movers: what is included

Champion Moving is a moving company at 550 S Watters Rd in Allen, and piano and safe moving is on our service list. With a heavy piece, the route matters as much as the lifting: doorways, steps, turns and the floor underneath. We look at that path before anything moves.

Heavy, awkward jobs come up often. One customer wrote that the crew “moved my hot tub to the patio” (Anthony P., Google review, a year ago as of Oct 15, 2026). Tell us what the piece is, where it sits and where it is going.

What sets the price on a piano or safe move: the piece itself, the steps and turns on the way out and in, the distance from the door to the truck, the crew size, and anything added before loading. Photos of the piece and the route help. Get a free estimate.

Piano loading in daylight

Allen §9-227 lets a moving truck stand on the street only while loading or unloading, never from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise.

Tell us about steps and turns

Front steps, a tight hallway or stairs inside change the crew and the plan. Mention them when you call.

Piano and safe move questions in Allen

Yes. Piano and safe moving is one of our services. We pad and wrap the piano, cover the floors along the route, and plan the carry out of the house before we lift. Tell us the floor it sits on and any steps along the way.

Some people do. The hard parts are the steps, turns and doorways, and the floors underneath. If you would rather hand it to a crew, call (214) 407-2684 and describe the route, and we will build the estimate around it.

Yes. Safes are part of our piano and safe service. A safe moves as one heavy piece, so the path matters: steps, thresholds and the floor it crosses. Tell us roughly how big it is and where it sits, and take out anything you would rather carry yourself.

We don’t publish a set price for pianos. The estimate depends on the piece, the steps and turns at each end, the distance to the truck and the crew size. Get a free estimate, and before loading you get the maximum price in writing (43 TAC §218.56).

Two documents. First, a written proposal that shows the maximum price, says whether it is binding or not-to-exceed, and states when and how payment is due and the mover’s liability for your goods, if any (43 TAC §218.56). Second, the TxDMV brochure “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move in Texas” (§218.55). Read both before the crew starts loading in Allen.
