Washer and dryer hookup on move day

Champion Moving is a moving company at 550 S Watters Rd in Allen, and appliance hookup is one of our move-in extras. The crew that moves your washer, dryer and fridge sets them in place and hooks them up to the connections already in the house, so laundry and groceries don’t have to wait.

One customer wrote that the crew “unmounted and remounted my tvs and washer and dryer” (Dia S., Google review, a year ago as of Oct 15, 2026).

Washer hookup

Connected to the water hookups and drain already in the laundry room.

Electric dryer hookup

Plugged in and connected to the existing vent. No gas dryers.

Fridge set in place

Moved in, set in place and plugged in.

What we don't do

No gas lines, no hard-wiring, no water heaters.

Those exclusions are firm. Hard-wiring an appliance to a circuit needs a TDLR licence, and gas or water-heater work needs licensed trades. Appliance hookup is part of move-in setup.

Appliance hookup questions in Allen

We do, as plug-in and connection work. The washer goes on the hookups already in the house, and an electric dryer is plugged in and vented. One customer wrote that the crew “unmounted and remounted my tvs and washer and dryer” (Dia S., Google review, a year ago as of Oct 15, 2026).

No. We don’t make gas connections. A gas dryer or range needs a licensed trade to connect it. We can still move the appliance and set it in place.

No. Water heaters are not part of our appliance hookup, and we don’t install or swap them.

No. Hard-wiring an appliance to a circuit is residential appliance installation under Texas law and needs a TDLR licence (Texas Occupations Code §1305.002(12-b), §1305.151). Plug-in work doesn’t, and that is the work we do.

Allen bulk pickup takes old washers and dryers. Bulk pickup runs on your assigned Saturday, which follows your trash day: Monday is the 1st Saturday of the month, Tuesday the 2nd, Wednesday or Thursday the 3rd, and Friday the 4th. Put items out by 7am, and dates can shift around holidays. A fridge or AC unit needs a refrigerant-free tag before it goes out.
